Bern–Oberland Region – 9th Casual Get-Together for Electric Jets and Electric Airplanes in Huttwil

In mid-August, a large number of aviation enthusiasts made their way to Huttwiler Berg, home to the MG Huttwil model airfield. The good weather also drew many spectators on both days. After a brief briefing, flight operations began, and before long, the Ready Box was already bursting at the seams. Over 150 models were showcased. Aerobatic planes of all sizes, flying wings, helicopters, gyrocopters, experimental models, foam models, and, of course, the E-Jets—everything was represented

and were skillfully showcased. Even the traditional fondue on Saturday evening at the Gruebli was more well-attended than ever before. Night flying is simply part of the tradition and was something special this time around. Night flying coinciding with a lunar eclipse—only the MG Huttwil can offer that! Next year we’ll be celebrating an anniversary, and as the organizers assured me, that’s when the party will really get going...
