Model flying with a twist!!!

When actress Lea Hadorn invited our model aircraft club, MG Zürich, to participate as guests in her variety show, our member and air show announcer Walti Wuhrmann spontaneously agreed (even though he had no idea what was in store for him!). The theme for the evening was to be: “Men and Their Hobbies.” In the skit, Lea Hadorn plays housewife Gaby Lutz, who welcomes a celebrity and casually introduces three or four other guests. To provide Gafner with a platform for an extraordinary flight demonstration. He was able to have his Depron plane “dance” above the audience’s heads and statically showcase his own design of a forward-and-reverse-flying plane (made of Depron).

Although this event on April 26, 2006, had a slightly cabaret-like atmosphere (the invited celebrity was Erich Vock, known from TV and the stage), we were able to get our message across very well: Our youth need meaningful leisure activities; model flying is one of them!!!
