Reto Schilliger's Resignation

8

On July 9, 2013, Reto Schilliger announced his resignation from the Youth Development Department. We deeply regret this, as he has done outstanding work over the past few years.

I would like to highlight a few key points here: Reto has been active in the SMV since late 1999. His first project was a new SMV website, which was launched in 2000 under his leadership as Internet Project Manager. Thus, he has been dedicated to public relations and communication from the very beginning. As part of a working group, he organized various appearances at trade shows such as SuisseToy, Muba, etc. He also designed the current SMV logo. In 2005, he was elected to the SMV Executive Board as Head of Communications. He held this position for five years, until his successor, Rainer Beckenbauer, took office in 2010. Reto also played a key role in the creation of our department. At the beginning of 2006, the topic of youth development became a priority, and Reto established the Youth Development Working Group. Four years later, this evolved into the new Youth Development Department. Reto, the Youth Development Department extends its heartfelt thanks to you for your contributions! Dear Readers: We are looking for a successor to Reto in the Youth Development Department. We would very much like to have a department member who, if possible, lives in Ticino or French-speaking Switzerland to expand our sphere of influence.
